Beat the Heat: Products to Keep You Cool This Summer

Let’s get serious here for a minute. We all know that it is crazy hot out there right now. We are in the middle of the height of summer, which means we start sweating as soon as the door opens and have been walking around with our glasses fogged up. We are pretty sure that we don’t need to elaborate any further.

To make things a little bit better, we’ve done some research and found some of the best cooling ingredients and products. Your skin is your largest organ and already has its own cooling mechanisms (sweat is your body’s way of keeping you cool), but sometimes even your body needs a little help. Below are some of our favorite cooling products. Try keeping your products in the fridge for even more cooling power.

Philip B. Blue Spray – Sprays are great because they provide an instant blast of coolness. This spray is a refreshing blend of aromatherapy oils that will cool your skin and muscles down. The peppermint, lavender, rosemary, and tea tree oils will cool you down whether you’ve been at the gym or just running around town.

Anne Semonin Gel MaskA mask that cools you down while it improves your skin? Anne Semonin has answered all of our summer plights! This gel mask will boost radiance, improve elasticity, and smooth fine lines and wrinkles. It also contains a blend of essential oils to cool and refresh your skin while stimulating circulation.

Elemis Ice-Cool Foaming Shave Gel – Let’s give the guys some respite from the heat, too. This foaming gel comes in a thick formula that molds itself to the contours of the face for a super close shave. Even better, it contains witch hazel and English oak to keep the skin protected and give off a wonderfully refreshing sensation.

Dr. Organic Tea Tree Cream – Perfect for the summer, this cream contains natural ingredients like antibacterial tea tree oil, soothing aloe vera, and moisturizing cocoa butter. It can be applied to large areas of the skin, making it perfect for instantly cooling you down. Plus, the antibacterial and soothing properties make it perfect for other summer irritations, like bug bites and sunburns.

Reviderm After Solar Repair – We generally avoid excess sun exposure as much as we can, but sometimes we have slip ups (or we decide the pool just looks too appealing). Thankfully, this lotion not only instantly cools the skin, it contains ectoin, a natural ingredient that increases moisture in the skin, and activates the skin’s natural repair process to fight sun damage.
