Normal Skin means Normal Skincare?

We have previously covered the best skincare and tips for different skin types. Today we’re going to discuss a skin type that is often overlooked: normal skin.

What exactly is normal when it comes to skin? Most people think of smooth, flawless skin when they think of normal skin, but that isn’t usually the case. Normal skin can best be described as ‘balanced skin’. This skin type can have some shiny or dry patches, but both are easily treated and don’t occur very often. Normal skin does have pores, but they aren’t very obvious or large. Normal skin rarely breaks out, has little to no fine lines and is generally even-toned.

If that description sound like you, then congrats! You’ve got normal skin. But before you start to take advantage of your genetically-blessed skin, you need to remember that great skin still needs maintenance. You may find that as the weather changes you do experience one or two pimples, or that your skin gets a little dehydrated when you travel. Luckily, these aren’t big issues and, with the right products, they are very easy to treat. We’ve compiled a list of products that will kick your skincare into high-gear, taking you from normal to stunning skin.

Filorga Sleep-Recover Anti-Fatigue Night Balm A string of late nights can affect even the best skin. This night balm contains a slew of depuffing, tightening, and energizing ingredients like silk tree extract, horse chestnut extract and hyaluronic acid. Regular use will prevent signs of fatigue from permanently taking up residence on your face, no matter how late you stay up.

PMD Personal Microderm Device Classic – Ready for skin that looks like it belongs on the red carpet? Microdermabrasion is a celebrity secret for gorgeous, flawless skin. This hand-held device uses aluminum oxide crystals to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, allowing you to safely achieve the same results, right in your own home. Your skin will look so great that you may even forget to put on makeup!

The Organic Pharmacy Enzyme Peel Mask with Vitamin C and Papaya – We can all agree that no matter what type of skin you have, you can never have too much of a glow. This peel is perfect for that. The BHA will gently exfoliate dead skin cells and brighten, while lactic acid softens and shea butter hydrates. An additional dose of papaya, pineapple, and grapeseed extract will give your skin an amazing glow.

Jane Iredale Zap and Hide Blemish Concealer – Normal skin might be better balanced than other skin types, but this doesn’t mean it is immune to breakouts. On one end of this stick is a blemish balm consisting of lavender, tea tree, and green tea to treat breakouts and soothe your skin. The other end holds a natural-finish concealer that will hide redness and cover up any evidence of that pimple.
