Woah, it’s getting hot out there! It kind of feels like we’ve skipped a transition period and the weather went straight from slightly chilly to blisteringly hot! We know it happens every year and you would think that we would have adjusted by now, but sadly, we haven’t. Thankfully, there’s a whole variety of cooling products out there to help everyone adjust. So, while we try to stuff ourselves onto the bottom shelf of the fridge, why don’t you have a look at some of our favorite products to help you beat the heat.
Lierac Sunific After Sun Ultra Refreshing Balm – This is a super-rich balm that will moisturize and repair skin that has had a little too much sun or heat. Shea butter, coconut oil and calendula hydrate, soothe and instantly cool the skin. This balm can be applied to the face and body, so make sure you keep it in your beach bag, or even your cooler for an icy treat.
Bliss Lemon + Sage Soapy Suds – Taking a bath in the summer may seem unnecessary, but trust us; a long soak in the tub with this is just what the doctor ordered. This body wash doubles as a rich bubble bath and thanks to the cooling aloe juice, lemon and sage, you will come out of there feeling like you’ve just taken a refreshing dip in spring water.
Elemis Ice-Cool Foaming Shave Gel – This one’s for your guy, but we’re sure he won’t mind if you use it for yourself, too! This shave gel provides a rich, creamy foam that makes shaving a breeze. Chinese date and English oak prevent irritation and witch hazel tones and cools the skin, also working as a great wake-up call.
Dr. Hauschka Rosemary Foot Balm – While everything tends to swell in the summer, feet often take the brunt of it. If your poor tootsies are swollen and retaining water as a result of walking around in the heat, treat them to an at-home massage with this foot balm. Silk powder and sage help reduce excess moisture while rosemary extracts cool and revitalize your feet. Your feet will be back to normal in no time, and they will be much softer, too.
Filorga Anti-Ageing Mist – This alcohol free mist is perfect for hot summer days. Keep it in your handbag or desk drawer and gently spritz it over your face (it can be sprayed over makeup) to cool your skin, combat free radicals in the environment and stimulate collagen production. It will leave your skin glowing and will also make you feel like the temperature has dropped a few degrees.
